COUNTRY GARDEN IN CORNWALL SELLS FOR THREE TIMES ITS ASKING PRICE

A Cornish country garden has been auctioned off for well over three times it's original guide price at nearly £150k.
The 3.5-acre plot in Boswarlos was initially put on the market for £45,000.
But since the site boasts a moorland, a summer house as well as an up kept garden, potential buyers were keen to bag the property.
The bids flooded in for the land, with the top bidder nabbing the stretch of Cornish green space for a staggering £147,809.
Senior auction appraiser Katie Semmens told CornwallLive: 'This beautiful slice of the Cornish countryside proved immensely popular at auction.
'It attracted strong bids from a number of interested parties before finally selling at more than £100,000 above its freehold guide.
'Attractive, multi-faceted lots of this calibre are often in demand, depending on the intentions of those submitting the bids.
'In this case, this new owner may simply have a horticultural interest or simply wish to own their own piece of the Cornish countryside.
'Alternatively, they may see potential for glamping or recreational purposes, subject to all the necessary consents.'
However some plots in the county are going for as little as £10.
A miniscule stretch of land, situated on the Newport Industrial Estate in Launceston, was put on auction with a minimum bid amount of £0.
The tiny piece of land was among 175 also put up for sale by Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers this June.
This comes shortly after a run-of-the-mill plot of land - less than an acre in size - was purchased for over twenty times it's initial auction price.
The shabby green space in Halliwell, Bolton, was originally put on auction for a guide price between £5,000 and £10,000.
However, when the gavel smacked down for the final time on May 15, it emerged a mystery buyer had bagged the 0.16 acre for a staggering £252,000.
The land was described by auctioneers, Auction House North West, as a plot with 'endless possibilities and potential.'
But a large question mark loomed over the identity of the mystery bidder who purchased the grassy area of residential land for such a high price.
The six-figure plot previously had rubbish dotted around amongst the ten mature trees that stand in the space.
Nearby residents were left baffled by the eye-watering price the land was sold for.
One woman, who resides on nearby Duxbury Street, said: 'We've lived here 34 years and it's always been open land like that.
