PAOCC RAIDS CLARK RESORT WHERE ESCAPEES FROM PORAC POGO BELIEVED TO BE HIDING

Authorities raided five villas inside the Fontana Leisure Parks in Mabalacat, Pampanga on Thursday evening.

The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) conducted the operation based on information that some of those who escaped from the raid in Lucky South 99 Corp. in Porac were hiding in the resort.

According to a report in State of the Nation, one of the villas is being occupied by one of the “big bosses” of Zun Yuan Technology Incorporated and Chinese fugitive Huang Zhiyang, who was tagged as an alleged business partner of Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo.

Also discovered in one of the villas were documents with the name of Zhang Ruijin, who is also linked to Guo.

The report added authorities also checked on the welfare of other foreigners found inside the villas.

Lucky South 99 Corp., a Philippine offshore gaming operator, was raided by the authorities early this month.

During the raid,  more than 150 foreigners were rescued including Chinese, Malaysian, Burmese, and Vietnamese citizens. Some of those who were rescued were torture and kidnap victims.

The continued search on the POGO hub also led to the discovery of alleged uniforms of the Chinese military.

However, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation said that only one of the 46 buildings inside the Lucky South 99 Corp. was given the permit to operate. —Vince Ferreras/RF, GMA Integrated News
