VOTERS GO TO POLLS ACROSS DORSET

Polls have opened across Dorset for the general election.

Polling stations in the seven constituencies opened at 07:00 BST and will remain open until 22:00.

There have been a number of alterations to boundaries across the nation prior to this election

There will be a live election results service at bbc.co.uk/dorset from midnight.

You can only vote at your local polling station, which might not be the same as in previous elections.

The address is on your polling card, or you can find details online.

If you are voting in person you will need ID to vote.

You can use the BBC's look-up tool below find a list of your local candidates and to check your consitituency using your post code.
