THREE TAKEN TO HOSPITAL AFTER A34 BRIDGE CRASH

Three men have been taken to hospital after a car hit a bridge on Tuesday evening.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Birchfield Road, Birmingham, at 21:32 BST, where one man was treated for serious injuries and a further two were treated for potentially serious injuries.

The A34 High Street, in Aston, is closed in both directions and accident investigation work is under way at the B4515 Newbury Road, according to travel website, Inrix.

West Midlands Police has been contacted for comment.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said the three men had been taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, while a fourth patient was assessed and discharged at the scene.
