MAN DIES AND WOMAN IN HOSPITAL AFTER HOUSE FIRE
A man has died and a woman has been taken to hospital after a house fire in Hereford.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said it was called to the blaze in Charles Witts Avenue at about 19:00 BST on Thursday.
A man was found to have suffered "serious injures" and confirmed dead at the scene, a spokesperson said.
The woman was treated for smoke inhalation before being taken to Hereford County Hospital.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service and West Mercia Police have been contacted for comment.
