WOOLWORTHS WORKER IS ALLEGEDLY THREATENED AT KNIFEPOINT DURING ROBBERY

A Woolworths worker was allegedly held up at knifepoint during a robbery at a Brisbane store.

A 33-year-old man allegedly threatened the worker at Buranda Village on Ipswich Road in Woolloongabba at 8pm on Monday.

He allegedly demanded cash before fleeing the scene.

Queensland Police arrested a man on nearby O'Keefe Street.

He was charged with armed robbery, stealing and possessing dangerous drugs.

The man is due to face Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
