POE THANKS MEDIA FOR COVERING ‘DRY’ HEARING

MANILA, Philippines — Senator Grace Poe on Tuesday thanked the media at a Senate hearing on Tuesday for covering a seemingly “dry” topic.

“Thank you nga pala sa media for covering this ah, mas exciting ‘yong hearing sa kabila. Gusto ko na nga pumunta d’on,” Poe said.

(Thank you to the media for covering this, even if the hearing on the other side is more exciting. I myself would like to go there now.)

It was uncertain what other hearing Poe pertained to, but a Senate committee hearing the alleged leaks of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency was being held simultaneously with the hearing on  proposed bills to create a government department that will manage the country’s water resources.

“Anyway, but of course, this is more important, more impactful in my opinion – everybody needs water, salbahe ka man o mabait ka kailangan mo ng tubig,” she added.
