SAN PEDRO CUTUD CRUCIFIXION SEEN TO DRAW 20,000 ON GOOD FRIDAY

Some 20,000 are expected to watch the crucifixion of penitents in Barangay San Perdro Cutud in San Fernando, Pampanga on Good Friday.

According to a report on "24 Oras," one of those who have been nailed to the cross was Ruben Enaje. It will be his 35th this year.

The public must expect more police to secure the area, steel barriers, tents, and portable toilets.

Authorities are also preparing for the expected hot weather.

The CBCP has said it didn't condemn the crucifixion of some devotees but added that it was not endorsing the practice.
