REMULLA: NBI TO PROBE JOURNO KILLING IN ORIENTAL MINDORO

Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla on Thursday said he will direct the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to investigate the killing of a radio broadcaster in Calapan, Oriental Mindoro.

“We’re asking the NBI to look into it… because we want to know the motives, the motivations,” Remulla said in an interview.

“We will try to get to the bottom of this. Marami na kaming mga leads kung ano ano ang mga motivations na pwedeng nangyari,” he added.

The radio broadcaster, identified as 50-year-old Cresenciano Bunduquin, was shot by two unidentified perpetrators at 4:20 a.m. on Wednesday.

One of the suspects was killed after Bunduquin’s son chased them and “accidentally bumped” into their motorcycle.

The suspect, identified as Narciso Ignacio Guntan, sustained head injuries that caused his death, according to the police.

Meanwhile, the other suspect fled to an unknown direction.

According to PRO MIMAROPA, Bunduquin was a radio commentator working for DWXR 101.7 Kalahi FM MUX Online Radio.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
