PALACE COMMUNICATIONS EXEC CITED FOR LEADING PH'S DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

MANILA, Philippines: Presidential Communications Office's (PCO) Undersecretary Emerald Ridao was recognized as among the Filipino women leading the Philippines' digital transformation, along with other successful female leaders from the country's growing digital sphere.

GoDigital Pilipinas, an organization advocating faster and more efficient Philippine digitalization, hailed Ridao for her efforts to help pave the way for the country's technological advancement, as reported by bi-monthly magazine PeopleAsia.

Ridao, who heads the PCO's Digital Media Services, is at the forefront of the agency in communicating the policies, activities, and programs of the Office of the President (OP), as well as the entire administration.

As part of the government's communications arm, Ridao handles social media inputs and digital outputs, including battling fake news and misinformation, which now become more prevalent with the advent of deep fakes and other AI tools.

"Community building through digital, specifically social media, has also been one of the most progressive advancements brought about by technology," Ridao said.

Also recognized by GoDigital were Mishy Co, The Bureau PH CEO, Chaye Cabal-Revilla, mWell CEO and Metro Pacific Investments Corp. CFO; Agnes Gervacio, Connected Women CEO,; and Sasa Del Rosario, Department of Budget and Management undersecretary and chief information officer.

Also on the list are Michelle Alarcon, the president of the Analytics Association of the Philippines; Crystal Gonzalez, the CEO and co-founder of Noneaway; and co-founder, Pick.A.Roo, and Ayhee Campos, the country head of Infosys BPM Philippines, and IBPAP vice chairman.
