CHR LAUNCHES ONLINE COMPLAINT AND REQUEST PORTALS

The Commission on Human Rights (CHR) on Monday announced that it has launched the Management Information System Monitoring Outlet (MISMO), an online complaint and request portal for Filipinos.

According to the CHR, the development marked a significant advancement in the delivery of human rights services in the country.

“With the launch of CHR MISMO, we are taking a significant step forward in modernizing and digitalization of our services,” CHR chairperson Richard Palpal-latoc said in a statement.

“This platform is designed to streamline processes and make our services more accessible to everyone, particularly to the disadvantaged and marginalized,” he added.

The CHR said that once a complaint is filed, the system automatically forwards the complaint to the appropriate CHR offices for review and action.

Complainants may also track the status and progress of their cases in real-time.

MISMO also provides additional services such as technical assistance, interview requests, accreditation for civil society organizations (CSO) partnerships, clearance applications, and requests for data and statistics, among others.

“As the country’s national human rights institution, the CHR remains committed to its Constitutional mandate to protect and uphold the rights of all. In the face of rapid societal changes, the Commission is steadfast in its pursuit of just, efficient, and effective human rights services for all Filipinos,” the CHR said.
