ANOTHER 'ALICE GUO' FINGERPRINT BEING STUDIED BY NBI

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Wednesday said that it's looking at another "Alice Guo" fingerprint record from 2005.

“Meron pang isang Alice Guo na kumuha ng clearance in 2005. Remember that yung [alien certificate of registration] niya na naka-file sa amin is 2006. Kumuha si Alice Guo 2021 ng clearance. Merong kumuha ng clearance 2005, Alice Guo din,” said NBI director Jaime Santiago in a press conference on Wednesday.

(There is another Alice Guo who obtained clearance in 2005. Remember that her alien certificate of registration filed with us is from 2006. Alice Guo in 2021 got clearance. Someone got clearance in 2005, her name is also Alice Guo.)

“Nakapaglabas na po kami ng dalawang result ng, yung fingerprint ng dalawang impression niya na iisa nga,” said Santiago.

(We have released two results from the fingerprint of her two impressions which are indeed the same. I have a third fingerprint card and anytime within the day, we will release the result.)

On Wednesday afternoon, Santiago said that the fingerprint did not match from those of the suspended mayor.

Santiago said the NBI is still looking into the motive of the third individual and if she was ordered to apply for a clearance.

It was previously revealed that Guo and Chinese passport holder Guo Hua Ping have the same fingerprints.

Senator Risa Hontiveros made the disclosure in a statement, saying the NBI findings confirmed suspicions that the suspended mayor was "a fake Filipino... masquerading as a Filipino citizen to facilitate crimes."

Guo is at the center of the Senate investigation into the raided POGO hub in Bamban after several documents showed that she was personally involved in the processing of documents for its operations.

She has repeatedly denied being a Chinese citizen, saying she was a Filipino born of a Chinese father and a Filipino mother.

On Tuesday, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian urged her to "expose the main players" in illegal POGOs in the country. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
