18-YEAR-OLD, 2 MINORS NABBED FOR ARMED ROBBERIES IN PASIG, RIZAL

An 18-year-old and two minors were arrested in connection with a series of armed robberies in Pasig and Rizal.

According to Emil Sumangil’s report in 24 Oras on Friday, the suspects were caught on CCTV robbing a convenience store in Pasig and a gasoline station in Taytay.

The suspects were seen holding the store cashier at gunpoint in Barangay Maybunga.

Pasig Police Chief Celerino Sacto said the store’s security guard was also held at gunpoint by the suspects who took his gun.

Two of the suspects were also caught on camera refueling their motorcycle in Taytay until one of them went inside the cashier’s booth.

The suspect left outside was seen pointing his gun at the gasoline boy.

The Rizal Police Provincial Office said the suspects were also behind the robbery in another convenience store in Taytay recently.

In a CCTV footage, the suspects also held a cashier at gunpoint and locked up a female staffer inside the storage room.

The Pasig City Police Follow-up Unit and the Special Weapons and Tactics Team arrested the 18-year-old suspect in his residence at Barangay Pinagbuhatan.

Meanwhile, the members of the Rizal Police were able to nab the two minor suspects after their neighbor complained about them for firing a gun.

Retrieved from the suspects was the firearm they stole from the convenience store security guard in Pasig City.

“Itong three personalidad na ito, may tumatayong lider, si Alias Akmar. Doon din natin nalaman na sangkot sila sa series of robbery,” said Rizal Police Director P/Col. Felipe Maraggun. “They are planning to conduct robbery-holdap dito sa Taytay at Antipolo.”
