'I WON £400,000 LOTTERY JACKPOT AND MY HUSBAND WILL FINALLY LET ME BUY A HOUSE'

A lucky mum-of-four who scooped a huge Lottery jackpot last month can now finally buy the dream house she's been manifesting for over a decade.

Karen McGlone won £400,000 in Saturday's draw, making her one of the biggest prize winners out of over 480 people who played within the winning postcode sector of BS3 5 in Bristol. The combined prize giveaway was a whopping £3.2million. It's been her dream for over ten years to buy a house in the picturesque coastal towns of either Paignton or Brixham in Devon, but she only recently managed to convince hubby Robert.

Civil servant Karen said: "I've been manifesting this - every time we go on holiday I keep saying, 'When we get our house in Devon, when we win the lottery, we'll get this.' It'll be a holiday home to start with but when we retire, we'll move permanently. It's just so much slower, and quieter, and warmer."

But first, Karen plans to celebrate her good fortune closer to home. She said: "We've got a bottle of Moët in the fridge. So, it's Champagne first and then we can start planning the next phase of our lives. It's a total life-changing event but it won't change me, I'll still be me."

Another lucky winner in Saturday's draw was retired bus mechanic Tony who won an incredible £800,000 thanks to playing with two tickets. Stunned Tony, from Bristol, who hasn't "ever won anything" described his win as "mind-blowing".

Tony, who's only ever been on holiday to Weymouth, says he will use his winnings to get his first ever passport and enjoy his lifelong dream and travel abroad.

He said: "First of all I'm going to get my passport. It'll be my first time travelling so I want to see how it is and take it easy. If I go to Spain or France and see the different cultures for two weeks, I'll be happy. I might want to go by boat and cruise over, so I can get my head around everything."

After a decade of health issues, Tony is grateful to be in a position where he can enjoy his win. He said: "I had a heart attack ten years ago and I've got five stents in my heart. I'm lucky to be alive. It's been a lot of trouble - this is just what I need. I haven't been used to a lot of money. I've been used to getting my wages and that's just for living on. But this, it's just life-changing. I don't know whether to cry, scream or jump up and down. I don't know what to do. I've never had this much money in my bank."

How does the People's Postcode Lottery work?

Players pay £12 a month to enter the draw, they sign up with their postcode online and they are automatically entered into each draw - with prizes being announced every day of the month. Tickets play for prizes every day of the week - from Monday to Sunday, a ticket could win £1,000 each day in the Daily Prize. Tickets could also win a jackpot of £30,000 in Saturday and Sunday's Street Prize draws.

There is also a £3 Million Postcode Millions draw each month - and your ticket plays for a share of a £3 Million cash prize fund. Winners are notified by email, SMS message, mail or phone call depending on the prize they win. Jackpot winners are visited by the lottery team in person.
